Procedure phases

PHASE 1: PRODIGY PREP

The skin is cleansed with an alcohol-based degreaser containing witch hazel extract. PRODIGY PREP removes the lipid barrier and improves the penetration of other products into the skin during the second phase of the procedure.

PHASE 2: PRODIGY PEEL PRO

PRODIGY PEEL PRO, a medium-intensity peel (containing 14% salicylic acid, 14% resorcinol, and 14% lactic acid) is applied to the skin.

PHASE 3: PRODIGY BOOST

At the end of the procedure, a booster with retinol, ethyl resorcinol, and capryloyl salicylic acid is used, which enhances the effect of the chemical peel and allows for a longer-lasting and more pronounced result.

Clinical study

The effectiveness of the peeling system was evaluated in a clinical study conducted in the United States by INNOVATIVE SKINCARE® in collaboration with International Research Services Inc. The study was summarized by Dr. Charlene DeHaven, member of the American University of Emergency Medicine and clinical director of INNOVATIVE SKINCARE®.

STUDY OBJECTIVE:
To evaluate the effectiveness of the PRODIGY PEEL SYSTEM (3) in rejuvenating the skin and improving its overall appearance, as well as to gather participants' feedback.

RESEARCH PROJECT:

• The study was conducted by cosmetologists with extensive experience in chemical peels.
• A cycle of 3 procedures was performed with a 4-week interval.
• Study participants were evaluated by experts during each visit before and after peeling.
• The efficacy evaluation of the peeling system was conducted according to objective parameters; skin firmness and elasticity were measured with a cutometer; skin thickness was measured with the DermaScan ultrasound device.

RESULTS:

The study participants were clinically evaluated 4 weeks after each peeling. The evaluation was based on objective criteria, such as: reduction of superficial and deep wrinkles; hyperpigmentation; skin tone and elasticity; smoothness, density, brightness, and overall skin appearance; absence of impurities and blemishes. After the procedure cycle, a consistent improvement was observed in almost all the aforementioned parameters in 100% of the patients.

Skin density and elasticity were measured using a cutometer 4 weeks after peeling. Most study participants showed improvements in 5 of the 6 time phases evaluated after the procedures.

DermaScan thickness measurements were taken 4 weeks after each peeling. An absolute increase in dermal thickness of 17% was observed in 86% of study participants. Participants were given questionnaires about improvements in their skin following the peeling. Most participants reported improvements after each peeling and at every time interval. Improvements ranged at high percentage values, between 71% and 100%.

CONCLUSIONS:

Data obtained during the study confirm the high efficiency of the multifunctional iS CLINICAL® peeling system in improving overall appearance, tone, texture, and skin elasticity. PRODIGY PEEL PRO SYSTEM can be recommended for the treatment of acne, hyperpigmentation, photoaging, and to comprehensively combat signs of aging.

The peeling system has demonstrated high efficacy in treating hyperpigmentation and correcting age-related skin changes. According to the results of a clinical study, its use allows for a visible reduction in pigmentation ((after the first procedure, the dermis shows a 17% increase in thickness at 4 weeks after the third treatment).
